I’m a transfer applicant and I was in the military. I wanted to send in a recommendation from one of the officers I worked with in the field. I spent a long time looking for him and I finally found him - March 1st, the day the apps are due. Would it be bad to ask him to write a letter for me and send it in as soon as possible? It wouldn’t arrive until at least 2 weeks after the due date. Would that bother the admissions team? Is it worth it?

I would go ahead and send it in. They are extremely back logged wiith all the stuff they are doing for freshmen admissions right now and I think they would realize that sometimes a rec timing is out of your control. I’d do it asap though just in case!
