I’m an incoming freshman in CAS (considering a transfer to Dyson). Which Calculus course should I take? They’re both accepted for Dyson transfer credit, but is one easier/more helpful than the other?

Thanks!

first of all, you would be transferring to CALS. Dyson School is the name of the AEM major, but it’s not a separate school/college for the purpose of an internal transfer.

1106 will probably be easier than 1110. however, if you think you’re going to want to take more computation-heavy courses in the future, 1110 might be for you.
it also depends a bit on what your math background is from high school.

1110 is probably infinitely more useful than 1106 if you’re planning on transferring into AEM. You get more of the basic math background that you need.

^ Would this be true if I were to go into Marketing? (I’ve heard it isn’t as math-intensive, but I may be wrong)
