<p>For anyone who has taken this class how bad is it? I consider myself pretty good with math, not a superstar or anything but overall not bad (33 ACT math, 800 SAT II, 5 AP Calc BC, and placed in some state and local math competitions). Is the class manageable or really challenging?</p>
<p>Engineering Advising seemed to discourage the class for engineers noting that of about 20 who took it, half dropped, and while the remaining kids passed, only 3-4 went on to the next class in the sequence. She noted that the extensive work on theorems and proofs might be interesting for math majors, but were not all that useful for engineers.</p>
<p>Thanks, guess I’ll stick to 161 or 162 whatever they put me in</p>
<p>I would expect that they will recommend 162 unless you are a math major.</p>
