<p>Okay… This year I was thinking to take Math 1 since I didn’t take pre-cal. But do I really need a whole year of pre-cal for the test? or can I self-study some subjects and still do well on it? I do have a whole summer break

<p>With a whole summer you should be able to study enough to take the test. In fact you may already know most of it - depending on what your Alg II class taught. I suggest going to a bookstore (or go to sparknotes site) and look over the review book so you can see how much time you’ll have to spend to prepare. But if your willing to spend a good amount of time studying for it then you should do fine even if you haven’t covered a lot of it yet.</p>
