My daughter is an advanced math student, so was interested in sitting in on Math 2240 when we visit later on this week. It’s not running now, though, and 2230 didn’t in the fall. They are, however, scheduled for 2015-16. So they’re offered only every other year?
My son took them his freshman year. He’s a junior math major. I think you’re reading the schedule wrong. Perhaps you were looking in the wrong location.
@NJCornellMom - Thanks - the web page I was looking at - not the one you posted, and of course I can’t find it right now - was misleading, or I just screwed up. I’m delighted to be wrong!
My son is a head tutor in the math support center. He’s interviewing and always looking for more tutors, if she plans on getting a job/work study position. He started there his first week on campus. Have fun visiting!
Great to hear! She will be looking for a work-study job and that could be a good fit.
Knutson is teaching the class this year. If your daughter is interested the web page for his 2240 class is listed below. LOL, looks like the 1st midterm average was around a 40.
If she ends up serious about the job, have her get in touch ahead of time (before she gets to campus) to interview and firm it up. She’ll be able to figure out who to contact.
@Euclid85 - Yikers! But at least the grades are scaled
@NJCornellMom - Thanks. Great to know that she could interview before even getting to campus!
