Math class for Archaeology major/math hater

I’m majoring in Archaeology at a community college, and I hate math. Or rather, I’m not very good at it. Somehow I remember: the Lousiana Purchase was in 1803; there are 206 bones in an adult body; the correct usage of their, they’re, and there. But I cannot remember for the life of me what 14x6 equals, or whatever. Plus, I haven’t taken a math class since my junior year of HS-- five years ago…

I’ve been putting off my one math requirement for all these years and now my arch-nemesis is back. I need help deciding which math course to take. Any helpers out there?

You should probably take Statistics.

That’s what the degree plan calls for but the course description has a few topics in it that I’ve never even heard of. I don’t feel very comfortable at all with it. Might be too much, too soon.
It says I can choose any course from the core curriculum math section and I’m really leaning towards just the basic College Math course. I feel much more comfortable with that course description.
Thanks for replying.
