Math classes

What is the Math sequence (going from entry level to hardest)? If given a choice between 21, 22, 26, 41, 110, 140A, how would you rank them?

It looks like you have the order of difficulty. Where one starts depends upon preparation and the math requirements for the intended area of study. Most students in science or engineering start with 140. Math 110 and 140 are mutually exclusive, business majors are required to take 110 while science and engineering majors are required to take 140. Math 140 can be substituted for 110 but 110 can’t be substituted for 140. The FITCAP testing should give a good idea where your student should start. Some of these courses would be considered remedial for science and engineering and not count toward graduation requirements.

On my advising day I was told Math 21 is an intro to stat, 41 leads to 140 (calculus), 110 (into to calc, easiest of calculus courses), and 140a is like using trig and geometry to teach calc. So from my knowledge, easiest to hardest, 21, 110, 41-140, 140a then 140. Not too sure about 22 and 26 though.
