Hey guys, I was wondering if you can help me out.

In school, I have always been a dedicated math student. I completed AP Calculus by sophomore year, earning a grade of 5; and I’m doing university math (multi calc) right now at a local community college. I have done well on the AMC 10 and the AMC 12 and qualified for the AIME, earning an AIME score of 5.

HOWEVER.

I scored 730 in June and 690 in Dec for math IIC.

I don’t understand why I can end up with scores this low when I’m doing so well in the math ECs. The questions are easy and I am positive I did not run out of time or anything for the tests (omitted 0 in June, 3 in Dec). Any ideas on how I can improve on this aspect? Thanks.

-A really confused student.
