math, finance, accounting, econ

i am interested in all of the areas of math, finance, accounting, and economics

what do you guys think would be the best two to major and concentrate in out of those four for undergrad

which would give me the most career opportunities and the best financial opportunities

It depends on what field you specifically want to go into. Do you want to go into finance, which is more general, or account, which is more specific in its focus? I am personally inclined to say that Finance and Math would open the most doors and be rather rigorous as well. Economics and Math would also open doors and may be slightly more rigorous than Finance and Math.
“economics/finance graduates received a 6.2 percent and a 3 percent boost in average pay to $40,630”

If you graduate from a more prestigious university and land a job in a larger market it is probable that your salary would be higher than that average.

I have heard it said that Renaissance Tech recruits mostly PhDs in physics and math. Is this true? Also, will applied physics and applied math be useful? Which is the harder degree of the two? Perhaps wrong forum but from IB point of view, what is the value of these resepctive degrees? Thanks.

Math or finance. Either one will be very versatile.
