Yay! So the general consensus is 10%. Sorry Monoclide. They should throw out that problem. If they’re going to have a problem that includes reading graphs it should be extremely obvious what the values are.

I’m pretty sure it was 10%.

At first I though it was above 8500, but did a double take, and saw it was over 800.

I got something like 8200/7300…which i got closer to 10%. messed up question though

yeah it was 10/11%

Summary so far-feel free to add
Weird function, f(a)<3 = 0<a<7
f(ab)=f(a)+f(b) = 24
Math and Science Students = 90
Tanks A and B = 160
Two Triangles area ratio of 3/4 = 40/3
Upside down parabola = A (-3 only)
Ice cream and soda = 3.50
Circle, Tangent line, radius of 4 = 4 radical 3
Least prime divisor = 5
Volume of rectangular prism = 144
Circle graph p,x = 40<x<50
Circle, find angle = 36
First fill in = 5000
Number line, a, a+10 = abs(a-x-5) < 5

Someone could get that citrus question wrong just for having poor eyesight!

I automatically assumed that they were halfway; I would never have expected them to make it that difficult to read. Definitely not a fair question.

40/3’d IS the correct answer, I created the controversy after making a stupid distribution mistake.

Easily solved by a matter of plug and chug ^^. I got it right, cheers.

The interior of circle was (-1,1)?

Edit:
xatuuatx - I totally agree with you. Even when read carefully, the difference is like 11-12%, not a solid 10.0 or 9.9.

“Two Triangles area ratio of 3/4 = 40/3 (there’s some controversy about this though)”

can someone describe this one a bit more? I’m trying to remember it…

Alright, then 10% it is!

I am trying to find a site that has the answer key. Haha. I am sure someone in the United States stole a copy…

HAHA. And, the best part: at the beginning of the test, a kid screams out, “I am… kind of blind. What is the school code??” (It was posted on the board.)

Do you remember which question?

I said 40/3. I’m pretty sure that was it

Yes for the interior of the circle i got (-1,1)

The interior of circle was (-1,1)?
^
pretty sure thats right…
feeling better about math… though I flunked writing big time

wa was the answer to that one problem bout wa possible inters are greater than 9 less than 100 but ones digit bigger then the tens? was it like 8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1? i dunno wa that adds up to lol

Nope. But it was a math question. It was weighted 4 points, which was the controversy. Instead of getting like 238s or 239s - they got 236.

36 was the answer. :)

was there a function answer like Y=F(x)-1??
it was like shifting down 3 units

Im curious - was the f(ab) question solvable without guess-and-check, or was that the only way? I’d think it would be unfair to require guess-and-check on a problem like that.

It was two triangles with a common base and the distance between a point on one triangle and the base was 10 and you needed to find the length of the distance between a point on te other triangle and the base.

thx xatu! I think I omiited 2 and and missed 3…epic fail…thats like 620 right?

ah i was right mono ;D thx there is still one more question im tryin to remember on the multiple choice but other than that i think i still only miss 2 ;D

That’s correct strat.

I think I screwed up a lot on math, I usually got 700+ on my practice sections, but I think I CHOKED on this one, making stupid mistakes.
