Math for March SAT 2009

I doubt it, because I remember a VERY similar question on either a BB or PR practice test that I took just several days before the test. I recognized what it was asking for immediately. Although the wording may have been ambiguous, I’d say the majority of test takers understood it correctly, even non-native speakers like myself. :P

hah that’s a new one…
i’ve never heard a non-native english speaker use that excuse for not doing so well on MATH lol

o whoops
for the water bucket one I thought it said when does A have 100 more than B? not the other way around, so i gridded 120.

are we confirmed that its 160?

so far this is the only one I have seen discussed here I missed on math.

I’m a freshman, so all I needis a 680 to do the summer program I want, and it’s lookin good.

theyre actually both(:

they’re both right? to whom are you talkin to?
and do we have near consensus about 10%?

to you, pdawggy

wait I’m confused…

how can they both be right? were there two forms of the question?

^haha i wish, I read it wrong and put 120 too =[

r u sure we were wrong?

@Mathlord

The question said you’re 15th in line from the front and 7th in line from the back.

Your first error: “From” does not always mean subtract, that’s a nifty little trick that works 90% of the time, but you need some common sense.

In this case “from” had nothing to do with the math of the question, it was just giving you a sense of direction.

I think everyone else in the world understood this question.

no the one about the buckets said “after how much time would tank b have 100ml more than tank a”
so its 160, sorry guys.

Alright fine jesus christ everyone else understood it in the world but for some reason I’ve never heard anyone in my life use either “from the front” or “from the back” to say what place they are in line. So excellent, I learned a new phrase. Maybe I’ll break this out when I’m waiting in line at Wal Mart and call all my friends up and say I’m 13th from the back. It just makes things so much simpler.

Mathlord bro, i dont want to seem rude but get over it, it was one problem. What are you gonna miss, what like 10 or 20 points! Just take it again!

Haha nah man I don’t care I’m just being sarcastic. Trust me I had a goal to get 700+ on the Math, and I think I did much better than that, so it’s all good.

…=_= Can anyone reiterate the Citrus Graph problem to me? (with the 10% vs 15%)
Was it a Fill-in or a MC??

The Citrus question was a multiple choice problem.

The answer for it was 10%.

I predict that april seventh shall bring about peace and kill these threads

now only if april seventh would come sooner…

to tell you the truth am anxious!!!
I just wanna get my scores!!!
how come collegeboard took longer to get the scores this time?
my friend said usually 2 weeks, but this time is 3, should it not be less i mean there not even doing their special services.
