Please help I’m stumped on this question

c/d=8/3
d/e=5/6
e/f=7/3

If c,d,e,f in the equation above are positive integers which if the following is true?

I know that…
c= 8/3d
d= 5/6e
e= 7/3f

But I don’t know what do next… Plugging the number in just make the number just be equal to each other…

Answer choices are:

A.) c<d<e<f
B.) d<f<e<c
C.) d<f<c<e
D.) e<f<d<c
E.) f<d<e<c

To get started, you might want to make up a number for whichever variable you feel like starting with…say c = 8. Then go through and solve for each of the other variables, then put them in order…

I got E when I plugged in numbers but is there an easier more mathematical way of doing this rather than substituting number?

I think picking a value for f is best here. A nice choice for f is 336=54 (Why?). It then follows quickly that e=126, d=105, c=280. Now put them in order.
