i’ve taken the ACT and the PSAT. in both i’ve absolutely bombed the math sections. on act i got 18. i’m really banking on my test scores and essay and ECs to help me get into northwestern because my grades are lackluster. however, i don’t see any of my test scores improving if i can’t get the math to get higher.

i was just wondering how all of you study the math and if it’s effective.

i know that the math comes really hard for some people and i am one of those.

thanks for your help!

P.S.- I got a 1470-1550 on the Barron’s diagnostic test. i know that barron’s practices are more difficult than the real thing so i was wondering how you would translate that into a real score. if not that’s fine.
