Math L2 Q: Law of cosine exceptions?

I remember back in precalc there were a few exceptions when trying to apply the law of cosines, to a given set of angles and side lengths, as in some circumstances the triangle wouldn’t exist, or the true angle when solving for capital C (or theta) would be the compliment of your calculator result, blah blah blah.

I can’t seem to find this on google. Can someone enlighten me or point me to a site that will?

Oh, my bad.

Turns it I meant law of sines, not cosines, and the “exception” is called the ambiguous case.
