Math level 1 subject test 26th January 2013

<p>A forum to discuss the sat math level 1 subject test administered on the 26th of January 2013</p>

<p>Whats the answer for 1 worker 1 mail takes him 5 minutes, how many workers are needed to finish 120 mails n 120 minutes?</p>

<p>Obvious ■■■■■ is obvious</p>

<p>I had like 6 left over after I did the first run through. I made an educated guess on them after though. I think I got through the first half in like 15-20 minutes. The end took forever for me.</p>

<p>Not sure how I feel about it. Left several blank but I thought it was better than the collegeboard studyguide</p>

<p>^ What do you think the curve will be?</p>

<p>^ I want to know the curve too. It depends on how well we all did. On that note, what did you all think of it?</p>

<p>I think it was way easier than the december test, so the curve shouldn’t be that good.
Anyways, the M1 tests has a bad curve anyway so…
I answered every single question but the one in the beginning with the “clock pitches”. I’m an international student and I didn’t understand what this means.
Would someone please explain it to me ?</p>

<p>^ I remeber what this question was. I was stunned for like 5 seconds then i realized that the clock " pitches" 5 times in one hour or something. So you just had to multiply 5 times whatever the hours were.</p>

<p>I think it was “clock chimes” - check youtube.</p>

<p>The number of chimes is = to the hour. So at 1:00, it chimes once, at 2:00, it chimes twice, etc.</p>

<p>Also, a quick tip. You add them, not multiply :P</p>

<p>what did everyone get for the whole sales of hotdog pizza and soda matrix one? I dont remember it well</p>

<p>It was the one with the first matrix multiplied by the sum of the other 2</p>

<p>The hotdog pizza one was a ratio. You just had to see which of the answers matched the ratio. I don’t remember the question too well. </p>

<p>The matrix one was one of the ones that I’m unsure about. Two of the answers were in the form of ([A])(**+[C]), they were just oriented differently.</p>

<p>Also, can anyone find a thread for the Dec. 2007 Math I test? Apparently, a bunch of others are finding that their tests are retests from then.</p>
