I am sure that this has been asked before but regardless. I would love to hear back from you all

I am currently taking precalc and I have about a B+, A- in it.

I am normally REALLY bad at math…algebra is what kills me…precalc isnt that that bad for me…regardless i am just bad at math.

what level should i take? ( i really dont WANT to have to take a math test but, a school that i am applying to requires that i take it…unfortunately.)

Hmmm…your Precalc grade is pretty good. Is that an honors/advanced/enriched/whatever your school calls it course? Because if so, it seems like you might want to look at the Math II–it only covers up through precalc, and many people get good scores with some prep after “only” precalc.

However, if you really believe that you are not great at math, Math I might be a better choice for you, as it is less advanced. The curve is tough though, and there would be more algebra/geo/less involved math on it, which you say that you are kind of bad at.

I can’t really tell from your post which test would be better. Before you spend the time and money preparing for and taking either one of the Math SAT II’s, I would strongly suggest spending the hour or so and taking a practice test in both Math I and Math II–prepare for the one that you score higher on. Boring advice, probably, but that will point you in the right direction far better than I could :).

haha boring advice but nonetheless good advice

i definately will look into both test more- even if it is just spending an hour at the book store comparing material in each test.

thanks! :-)
