<p>(kinda) irrelevant, but AP Calc and Stats are simplified to no end by TI-89’s. You absolutely need an 83 or 84, but an 89 is just overkill. IB bans 89 and N-Spires however, which seems to be better</p>
<p>We don’t have AP or IB at my school, so I have no idea what you’re talking about, but sure 
I just use a Ti-83</p>
<p>Our school doesn’t do the whole AMC/USAMO/USABO/USACO/USAPhO thing, unfortunately. All we have is the Grand Concours (for French) and CML (which I do).</p>
<p>Well, be glad that you have those two, at least. Here in Canada, there is nothing like that, except one math contest sponsored by a good university. That’s it, though. There’s no national championships for math… or bio… or anything else.</p>
