Math Level III?

They should make a Math Level III. The level II is too easy… anyone can get an 800.

It’s called AMC buddy.

^ Yeah, that.

I made USAMO, but I’m talking about something administered by thecollegeboard

^Lol…

trollthread

Math III- Calculus

(That would probably be easier.)

I think AMC is a bit too difficult for Math III. Calculus is probably the ideal Math III; AMC would be Math IV.

If Math III were Calculus, I would do better on it than Math II lol.

I agree with that. Math III/IV would most likely appeal to a far more self-selecting group (particularly the type that posts on CC on a regular basis ;)).

Instead of going forward, we should go backwards. Math 1/2 anyone?

I think CB should make an SAT Subject Test in Advanced Social Skills.

That’s called an interview

SAT II Math V- Haiti and its history in the field of mathematics

I think I would do the same. I definitely agree with Greed: 11% of test takers getting 800s is way too much. They need to either a) make the test harder or b) have a harsher curve, I would prefer A.

Also, if math III were calculus, I’m pretty sure 11% of the people would still get 800s haha.

I would prefer no calculators allowed to lessen the number of 800’s.

But I like using my TI-89…

^me too. I just couldn’t answer some questions if I didn’t have my calculator, such as standard deviation and matrixes. Plus, harder trig questions are almost impossible to do without calculators.

I also love my TI-89. But really, having a graphing calculator makes some of the questions so damn easy.

^LOL I ain’t complaining… along with the thousands of other people who aren’t, either. If you’re looking for a challenge, why don’t you participate in USAMO or some such competition? Or, you can ask your university friends for math lecture sheets and do those for fun.
