Math Level III?

Hey guys I was wondering if there is some way to show talent for pure math other than the SAT 1 and SAT 2. The Math level II has a pretty low ceiling and the Sat Math reasoning tests really basic concepts. The only test that I could find that tests higher level Math is the AMC. However, I’m not aware that any colleges are familiar with the AMC. Is there any section on application (to ivies, Brown specifically) to indicate AMC score? Also just took practice AMC12 and got 132… is that worth reporting? Thanks for the guidance.

I seem to remember a field for an applicant’s AMC score on at least one college’s application form. It might have been MIT or Harvey Mudd, but I’m not sure.

MIT definitely has a field for the AMC score. I don’t know about Harvey Mudd.

Ok thanks, but i don’t think I stand a chance at MIT-I don’t want to go to Harvey Mudd- I was thinking about some of the lower ivies? (Brown, Columbia, Cornell)

Brown and Columbia are of about the same selectivity as MIT.

No, you should not report a practice test score.

^^Obviously I wouldn’t report a practice score, but if i got a 132 on the real thing… is that worth reporting?

^ Yes, I would say that anything 100+ is worth noting.

whats the USAJMO?
