Math minor

Hello, i am new to this forum, i just have a small question for now.

I want to do a math minor, however, i find it useless to learn complexe University math if

1- I Wont need more than basic math in the MCAT

2- I Wont use use it in medical school

3- I Wont use it once i become a doctor.

Does complexe math knowledge and skill give you any advantage in your persuit of becoming a doctor?

If you are considering a math minor despite those reasons, it’s probably because you enjoy math right?

I think college should be about learning things that are interesting to you, in addition to helping you get the job you want. You might regret later on not learning this stuff you find interesting now even if you did get the job.

If you think you handle a math minor along with pre-med, then do it.

Math classes tend to develop critical thinking skills anyway, so that can help you prepare for the MCAT in that sense.

Also, research and some branches of radiology might make use of your advanced math.
