math on ssat

is there graphing? quadratic equations? exponential graphs? functions? exponential functions? graphed functions? radicals? or is it like, pre algebra?

for wat grade?

There isn’t much computational math involved. Call it logic, perhaps.

the upper level test.

good. logic is my forte. but every now and then logic gets tricky w/ no equation to solve… anything i should review?

There is no need to remember formulas, except for the very basic, which should come naturally. You should be able to derive these formulas, however, when needed.

Generally, I was under the impression that finding the method to solve the problem is more complicated than finding the solution.

i think that math was pretty easy.
for the most part, there are questions that you probably have already learned about or solved. idk~ but for me there was an ocasional hard problem.
p.s. i didnt study for it and i got 90%

yeah it’s pretty easy. i took it cold and got a 92%. although that was my worst score…so it may be harder than the other sections. i dunno.

edit. wow i just realized how unhelpful this post was. sorry…:(

The maths section was easiest for me because it was never a matter of opinion; if you solve it right, you can get the right answer. The maths itself is not very hard; as you’re a tenth grader, I would expect that you should know everything on the test.

as a tenth grader, we’re expected (by the schools) to get a very high score cause it should be a joke for us since we learned it all already and are more advanced now. thats why if we just get a few wrong, our scores drop immediately. i got 3 wrong and got a 91%. -_-

but then again, scores might vary depending on the test.

yeah because you’re a male. if 3 wrong (any ommited??) mean 91% for you, then it will mean 95% or something for me.

what were your other scores?

What?? I’m a girl! and no, none ommited.

hahahhaha sorry! for some reason i was under the impression that you were a male… i don’t know why? hahaha i’m so sorry. at least i haven’t seen your face and then said that…

haha, its all right. I havent really given any clarification that I’m a girl, I guess.

They should have a gender tag under every name.
Msu, PM me back!! :)

olivia, i cant PM you! you’re mailbox is full.
oh, my name is Michelle btw. haha sorry, I just realized you still didnt know my name.
