Math questions help = )

  1. in the xy plane a circle with radius two has its center at point (3,5)
when the circle is reflected across the x axis its image is another circle what is the distance between the centers of the two circles?
    A) 4
    B ) 6

thanks in advance = )

Why don’t you try to answer the questions and show how far you’re. Those questions are very basic.

@xiggi‌ i solved the first and i got it wrong.
and the second no need for it i understand it now.

The first one is pretty straightforward if you draw it out correctly. Hint: the radius of the circle is irrelevant.

Think about what it means for something to be reflected over the x-axis. Everything above the x-axis will be below the x-axis, and vice-versa. You are effectively changing the y-value. So the point will go from (x, y) to (x, -y). From there you should be able to figure out the distance.

ohhhh i was getting the distance between the two circles not the centers!
sorry guys xl
thanks all

Yep, that’s why I said in the other thread, read carefully.
