Math SAT II Subject Test

Hello, I am an incoming senior in high school who is interested in double majoring in biology and public health. I am applying to significantly selective schools (UC system, lower Ivies). I have taken the Biology M and Public Health SAT Subject tests since these relate to my intended area of study. Should I take the Math 2 Subject test as well to enhance my application? I received a 780 on the Math SAT 1 and a 5 on the Calculus AB AP exam. Would these be enough without the SAT 2? Thanks!

Please get that phrase out of your vocabulary.

You can if you want, but IMO the 780 on M1 is sufficient; the only reason to submit M2 (unless they require it) is if you score 790 or 800. Add’l tests above the number required will not enhance you application and you only need 1 math test.

What is the Public Health SAT Subject Test?

If you got a really good score on your 2 other SAT subject tests, I suggest that you only take an additional Math 2 Subject test if you are applying to a school that specifically states (or recommends) that you need a Math 2 subject test (such as MIT), or a school that highly recommends 3 subject tests (such as Georgetown). If you are not specifically applying to these schools, there is little upside to having a 3rd subject test, assuming that you already did very well on the first 2.

That was a typo… I meant World History Subject test.
