well, i just did the math section of one of the practice tests and got a scaled score range of 620-680. this is w/o any prep before and i used it as a sort of “diagnostic”. is this a bad score for first time? i was aiming for 800 in math in october :/

considering the average for math is in the 500s… i would say that’s pretty good

Depends on the book. But it sounds like you have a bit of studying to do.

most of my errors were silly mistakes… how do i reduce the silly mistakes?

If I knew the answer to that, I’d be rich. But here is how to avoid (my) most common mistakes:

+Be VERY careful when you read: watch for “not,” “even,” “sum,” etc.
+Watch your variables. Don’t bubble the solution of x instead of y.
+Double-check your formulas.
+WATCH YOUR NEGATIVES!!

Make sure you’re answering the question. The way the question is worded, you may solve an equation and have to do something with that answer in order to answer the question.

can u guys post how long it took u to get an 800, if u did get that
