hi gwendolyn

i basically have the same problem…

Use this as an opportunity to get acquainted with CAESAR and CTECs. Use the advanced search feature to select “WCAS Distribution Requirements” and select formal studies (for math) or natural sciences. Check out the classes that come up and view CTECs for them to see which ones are supposedly no-brainers.

i’m taking intro to stats (stats 202) right now, and it’s INCREDIBLY easy (the midterm this morning was a piece of cake). I’m also taking Diversity of Life, a science distro for non-science majors, and while it’s not easy to get an A in the class, it’s basically all memorization and multiple-choice questions about evolution and taxonomy. It’s actually pretty interesting though.

anyone else

Modern Cosmology (Astronomy 101) is another class that’s good for the math-impaired…although it’s not exactly EASY either…it’s good if you like science, but not the #s that go along with it…it’s more of a history/theory course.

are any of the intro communication sciences and disorders classes relatively easy and count for the sc distro?

yeah, i’m a little concerned about the math/sc distros. i got a 5 on ap bio. can’t use that…not fair. i’m really mad at myself for not taking sp stats. apparently you can get credit for stats 202 if you get a 4 or 5.

no, they don’t count as sciences … lol. the area is for physical sciences, not social sciences.

bump…communication sciences and disorders isn’t a social science

there was an intro science class I heard about that sounded easy
I think it was called the Science of Life or something…something with the word “life”, look for it in the 100 or 200 levels

correction: Diversity of Life (Bio 103)

div of life is an easy B i’d say…but not an easy A…it’s all memorizing of lectures

does anyone know if the distro requirements for the school of communication are the same as weinberg? i looked at the undergrad catalogue but it just says you need 18 courses out of your department. the website doesn’t elaborate either.
