Math Timing and Math Problem Questions?

1) How do you end careless mistakes if you’re one who feels tough on time? My scores could dramatically (around 80-100 points) increase if I didn’t make the 2-3 careless mistakes I make per section, but with time, I always feel compelled to read through quickly and not notice proper signs.

2) A somewhat easier to answer question-
(r + t)/(r - t) = 5/2, what is the value of r/t?
a. -7/3
b. -1
c. 3/7
d. 1
e. 7/3

1) After finishing a question, make sure you go back one last time and read what the question is asking. Circle questions you aren’t sure about and check them at the end if you have time.

2) What do you mean “somewhat easier”?
Here is what I would do, and it seems simple enough.
(r + t)/(r - t) = 5/2
2r + 2t = 5r - 5t
7t = 3r
r/t = 7/3 (e)

Thanks, I actually just thought of this a few minutes ago, just not in its entirety. Kept doing some guess-and-check thing that was totally out of my mojo.
