math

if anyone has a solution to this feel free to post it:

http://i25.■■■■■■■.com/124fork.png

so I narrowed it down to A and C which both gave me my answer after I assigned the variables real values and tried plugging them in. I ended up with C which is the right answer, but only because that was the one that directly related total grams to grams of jam. It was sort of a guess, and if anyone has a better solution, that is great.

The wording in the problem is really dumb. I spent quite a while trying to pinpoint jams, strawberries, pints, etc.

Anyway, the Q asked for pints of jam, so the pie part is almost irrelavent.

since 60% of S is used to make pints of jam(40% of S was used for strawberry),

0.6S = j*y, where units of j and y are grams/pint, pints, respectively.

0.6S/J = y, the number of pints.

or 3S/5J

yeah christ that is from a real sat too…well yeah thanks.
