Mathematics and Social Sciences

Does anyone know how difficult it is to gain admission to this major. According to Dartmouth's website, u must have the following: "Honors standing and Mathematics 13 (or, with permission, Mathematics 3 and 6 or equivalent), plus introductory work in several social sciences; or permission."

What grade constitutes honors standing? Also, when do students tyically apply to the program? If u guys have any other info on the program i woudl greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

Bump... i am also interested in this topic!

Honors standing just means that one is eligible for admission into the Honors Program in Senior Year. One would need at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and at least a 3.0 in the major (it varies for each department). I think that math department requires a B+ or higher.

B U M P

Anyone else?
