My current major is mathematics/secondary Education.
I am un incoming Freshman and I want to become a math teacher.
However, I also want to work with mathematics in industries.
Should I change my major to just mathematics?
If I do, when can I change my major and how?

google “ucsd how to change a major”

Here’s the ONLY difference between the two majors. For regular math, you take 12 upper div math classes of your choice. For math/secondary education, you take 9 upper div math classes of your choice and 3 education studies classes.
