Mattress Pad/Protector

Not sure what to call it!! We’re looking for a mattress pad that totally encases the mattress and would prefer not to spend a ton of money. Saw one at a dept. store that cost over $90! I can find the plastic ones, but I’m afraid that would be terribly hot. Need one of breathable material. I know I’ve seen them before, but can’t find it when I need it! Somehow I’d feel better if the little creepy crawlies on the dorm mattress couldn’t creep and crawl on my kid!!

Any ideas??

We got this one: [Twin XL MAttress Cover](http://www.campusbedding.com/49.html?sm=41393)

I have used this site for mattress and pillow covers
[Allergy Relief Mattress Covers](Allergy Mattress Covers, Protectors, and Sets | AchooAllergy)

If you are concerned about it being hot, a good, thick breathable matress pad on top will help.

Son used an egg crate pad and an ultra thick matress pad.

We bought a heavy plastic one, placed 2 inches of foam pad in a fitted sheet, and a quilted mattess pad over that. Daughter never complained about it being hot.

I’m with you on the plastic ones being hot. Husband made me sleep on one when I was pregnant in case the water broke.

Dd and I saw one in BBB that was not plastic. I think it was about $25.00.

Kohls has them, but I can’t remember the price. less than $90 though.

We got a nice one with Memory foam - sort of a combination mattress pad and mattress topper for about $50 on sale at Kohls…
