<p>I have a memory foam mattress pad that I would like to bring with me.
I see that it’s not allowed, but I was wondering if anyone has ever gotten away with bringing it in and keeping it for the year.</p>

<p>It’s a fire hazard. BC only does a check once or twice a year and I’m pretty sure you’ll know when/if they’re coming.</p>
<p>I wouldn’t bring it with you to move in day but once you’ve spend a few weeks at BC and know the univeristy a little better, I think you could get away with the mattress pad.</p>
<p>I had a foam mattress pad the whole year last year and I never got caught. I plan on bringing it again this year. They do random room inspections about twice a year, so just make sure to pull up your sheet each day so they can’t see it. And you will most likely know when an inspection is happening, usually people will text all their friends if they see them coming to the dorm.</p>
