<p>(I was reading the Times a few days ago and found out that she’s back from book leave… I almost let out a moan of anguish in the coffee shop)</p>
<p>Maybe you shouldn’t read her stuff.</p>
<p>Some of her writing is beautiful. She is not an investigative journalist or even a journalist/policy analyst. Rarely does she add any new facts or information into the debate of the day. (Even Novak adds some new information now and then.) All she does is express her personal opinion. She is extremely predictable. If you have read one of her columns slamming President Bush, you have read them all. I tried reading some of the anti-Bush book she put out prior to the election, but it was so redundant and not supported by many facts, that I could not make it through the book. I think the NYT keeps her as a columnist because she writes so well and she supports the paper’s editorial opinions.</p>
