Maxed out FAFSA Loans Need more--where do I go?

<p>Married student with mortgage and car note going back to law school (not me a friend) maxed out on what FAFSA will let her borrow. Do you know resources for other loans? Need more to live on.</p>

<p>A graduate or professional student may borrow up to $20,500 per year for school (with a limit of $8,500 in subsidized loans) with a total loan limit (including undergraduate federal loans) of $138,500.</p>

<p>Are you saying that your friend has already borrowed the $20,500 for the 07-08 school year and needs additional funds? Could she work over the summer? </p>

<p>It seems like she needs to rethink her expenditures (mortgage, car note, $20,000+ per year student loans) since she appears to be living beyond her means. I honestly don’t think that more loans are the answer.</p>
