<p>on Stanford’s website for the common application essay they require the essay to be a least 250 words. I have 504 words on my rough draft and two sentences that go onto another page.</p>
<p>What in your opinion is the maximum number of words alloted to be safe from people
at the Admissions Office getting board with my essay or just saying the heck with it?</p>

<p>A range of academic interests, personal perspectives, and life experiences adds much to the educational mix. Given your personal background, describe an experience that illustrates what you would bring to the diversity in a college community, or an encounter that demonstrated the importance of diversity to you.</p>
