I have attended the SAT exam three times, the Trial test is included (the test that doesn’t count when applying). I always could increase my scores but the increase never exceeded 200. My score increases in the range of 100-160. What’s your maximum score increase?
Bump
What do you mean the “Trial test”…?
I increased my score by about 190 once…
“Attempted”, not “attended”.
What?
I haven’t taken the SAT, took the ACT instead. My friend took it twice, he increased his score by 70.
I call the SAT Test I’ve taken when I was in grade 10 “Trial”. And my question clearly is: Is it possible to increase your score by more than 200? The overall score.
It’s an IQ test. Have you been doing anything to increase your IQ?
Yes it’s possible to increase your score by 200+ points but the higher your score the harder it is to increase it. You really need to prep, just taking the test again and again without doing any prep in between will not increase your score. You need to figure what type of questions you are getting wrong and learn to how to answer them correctly.
Are you calling the PSAT your trial sat?
YOU might not be counting your 10th grade test when you’re applying, but colleges certainly will (well if they require all scores at least).
And yes, it is possible to increase your score by 200+ points. It takes more work once you’re in the 2000+ range, but definitely still possible.
@JustOneDad, I’ve been practicing a lot.
@OrchidBloom, Those are my scores in the last three tests: 1340,1460, 1580. As you may notice, I couldn’t raise my scores higher than 200, people say It’s because of the raw scores that vary from country to the other.
Thanks for the responses!
Your score shouldn’t have anything to do with which country you’re from aside from the fact that the SAT is harder if you’re not a native English speaker.
You can definitely improve your scores with some practice! There are quite a few threads on this forum with tips from people who have pulled off very impressive improvements (off the top of my head, xiggi and silverturtle had some pretty good tips).
Alright. The only thing I find hard because of the language is Reading sections:however, I don’t find the writing hard at all. Thank you for replying
