Maximum Student Federal Loans Limits if Only One Parent is Disqualified for PPL

I know that students whose parents do not qualify for Parent Plus Loans can obtain a higher amount in federal loans than those whose parent qualify. I want to know if there is any way in which a student can borrow the maximum in federal loans if only one parent applies for the Parent Plus Loan and he/she does not qualify for it.

Yes, only one parent has to apply and be rejected.

It is rather difficult to be rejected.

Thank you!
