I read grammar books for fun, so I never have to review rules. It’s great!

800 CR
700 M
800 W

I love coming to CC. It’s like my reality check, reminding me that while 2300 is a really good score, there are a lot of people who do better. I was kind of thinking of retaking to see if I could get a bit higher (and my PSAT Math was 74, so maybe I could) but with my first app due October 15th, I’d be pressed for time. I’m hopping off the train.

800 Math, 780 Writing, 670 Crit Reading. I never study before the tests, so I’m hoping that if I take the August test and over the summer memorize every goddamn word in the English Language, I’ll be able to 800 Crit. (I don’t miss questions on passage reading, just the Difficult vocab questions and perhaps 1 medium. I generally get it down to 2 and screw up there)

Does anyone know how many students score 2400? I read somewhere that it’s only about 200-300 students for each test date, but I don’t think that is possible. I know that in my grade of about 65 at least 4 students have scored 2400s…

@mt7 - I looked around the internet, and so far I’ve heard that about 300 score 2400 PER YEAR. That’s ridiculous. I agree with you - it must be a lot more than that.

my scores, need to take in October for CR score increase

Math 800
Writing 740
Critical Reading 590-yikes!!!
suggestions on how to get this CR score to at least to 650?? Come on you geniuses, work with me here :-)

@jenx1234 - Nah, you really don’t want my life. I’ve got a million problems, but it definitely is nice to have gotten those scores :)

Now my problem is this: in my great excitement to take advantage of the four free ACT score sends, I sent my ACT score to MIT/Stanford/Berkeley/Austin (my four top choices). I got a 35 composite ACT… but I only got an 8 essay. I’m hoping they’ll disregard that score in favor of the SAT score!

@mt7 & soadquake: actually, thats completely treu; collegeboard has posted stats before; out of the roughly 2million ppls who take it each year, there are only 200-300 perfect scores. Of course, California and NY/Boston area seem to claim a large part of those numbers, but for internationals and other rare states, perfect scores almost never appear - i know in my country there’ve only been heard of 2 other cases of 2400, so…
