May 1st is upon us

Who has decided to attend OSU?

Let’s hear those final answers.

I’ll go first. My D will be there majoring in Linguistics and English.

My S will be there. His official major is “Exploring”, but he will probably major in British Literature or something similarly unemployable. He is planning on Law school.

Congrats to the incoming class of 2011!

We also went down to the wire (decided in the last week and was between two schools) Son will be majoring in Accounting and is in a Scholars program.

My son will be there. He is a Pre-Major in Marketing at Fisher and is also a CommTech scholar.

Good Luck to all!

I’ll be attending OSU in September. ?y major is psychology w/ an interest in pre-law. I’ll also be pursuing an honors degree.

I will be attending OSU as a Geography major this fall. I also hope to be in the Capitol Program so that I can get experience in Marketing.

Isn’t the deadline for the deposit at OSU later than may?

Actually today is National Acceptance Fee day (technically May 1st), prospective students must send in their deposit by May 1 to reserve their place.

Son is turning down OSU etc. for Caltech. Sorry. One more Distinguished $$ for someone . . .

Regrettably, my announcement, a month ago, of D’s decision to attend Ohio State was a bit premature. After making that initial decision in favor of OSU, D reconsidered over the following week. After doing that, as well as discussing it with her dad and I, she decided that American University would work out better for her, as far as strength in her intended major (International Relations) and location/access to valuable internship opportunities during the school year, as well as a few other reasons. That having been said, it was very difficult decision for her, as she had grown quite attached to OSU since being accepted last November, my husband and I were quite impressed with it, as well.
It’s been a pleasure corresponding with all of you on this forum(some of you via PM’s), you’ve been a very friendly and helpful group and I wish each of you and/or each of your children a successful and happy freshman year at Ohio State!

Same to you, MOM. All the best to you and your D.

Unfortunately my son will not be attending OSU, just cannot afford it.
