2400SAT: I think my test was identical to yours except for sec number 4. I did not have Thoreau or Walden questions. I filled in some more for my sections, partially based on yours but it seems right:

Sec 1 - essay - Work provides rhythm
Sec 2 - Imogene long, Star Wars short
Sec 3 - math (all mult choice)
Sec 4 - CR - duck rabbit
Sec 5 - CR - science fiction long passage
Sec 6 - Math gridin
Sec 7 - Writing 35min
Sec 8 - Last/Shorter CR - congo
Sec 9 - Math
Sec 10 - Writing 10min

This would lead me to believe that 4 could be exp for both of us.

my friend had a math experimental test, and here are the passages he remembers. I’m listing these so everyone can keep them out of the discussion on the reading experimental test. if you had these, then you had math experimental.

Dual short passages on food and culture.
Dual long passages on the Fermi Paradox and extraterrestrial life The dual passages were on the same section.

Short passage on the fashion statement of mechanized pencils Short passage on black holes.
Long passage from a novel about a woman reporter leaving her job to marry her boyfriend.
Long passage on television and Platos elitist attitude toward the arts.

Long passage on needing cultural awareness to interpret a societys stories. Example of Alaskan native story of porcupine woman and beaver.

I got that, and it was something about a symbol of technology or something like that.

Could you fill this in (actually this would be helpful from anyone who took the VERBAL EXPERIMENTAL test)? I’m trying to figure out the forms as best I can.

Yup, it has to be. Nice. those Walden passages had some totally f-ed up questions with 2 or 3 answer choices that were equally valid. thanks for letting me know.

Yes…based on the data from these posts, section 4 was experimental.
This is because collegeboard designates the same section # for experimental on every test. Mine were either 3 or 4 because they were the same and david06 had 4 or 5. So it had to be Section 4

david, you and I both had the “microchip” question/passage, which I’m pretty sure means that it can’t be from an experimental. cuz we had different experimentals.

those Walden passages had some totally f-ed up questions with 2 or 3 answer choices that were equally valid
___________what??? i still don’t get, what is the passage about?
and…for john and me, did you choose error?

so from what we know, there are at least 3 versions of the verbal test (because there were at least 3 essay prompts), some had duck/rabbit, some had walden/thoreau, but both of those were found in section 4 and experimental.

i was personally hoping imogene would be experimental duck/rabbit was pretty easy

It said John and I, which is wrong because its supposed to be John and me.

Yes, I had the “microchip” and i put it was a symbol of tech creativity.

Section 4 was exp for me too I believe (math grid-in)

Here was my test:

Sec 1: Essay on new ideas and progress
Sec 2: CR on Imolgene
Sec 3: Math MC
Sec 4: Math Grid-in…very difficult, probably exp
Sec 5: CR on environment
Sec 6: Math Grid-in
Sec 7: Writing
Sec 8: CR on Congo
Sec 9: Math
Sec 10: Writing

2400SAT, that seems right, I remember college board posting which sections were exp on their site after the results came out, and there were only 2 variations for a test day i think. granted this is for the old test, but i think the section number that is exp stays fairly consistant.

Son of Liberty: Are you sure your test isn’t in the Math Exp thread? If you had two grid ins, you should have a math experimental test. But all your CRs match up with ours… strange.

that is really strange. my friend who had math experimental had nothing else the same as me, except for the essay prompt. I think that for test dates where they aren’t going to release the tests, they do whatever the hell they want with the forms.

son of liberty: maybe. i can see them using exp sections for two reasons, to test new questions, or to somehow ensure consistancy between forms. if it’s the second, that could explain your test…
