MAY 2005 SAT TEST – FORM ONE (verbal experimental)

yeah…which one was the experimenal

section 6? i hope

who knows… i have a feeling that its not africa or marya though… idk why

no im pretty sure it was section 4. the one that didnt have the question about the prime numbers (answer was 101). im saying this because other people who had this same form except had the extra CR section had the section with the prime number question.

when do we find out? when the scores come out? i got like a 470 then

thats what ive been getting on prineton tests so who knows

5/23 is when they’re onlien

africa part was cake

dude. i can’t believe you thought the section 4 math was better than section 6. Section 4 was an absolute beast for me.

I am pretty sure the experimental section was the duck/rabbit one you guys are talking about. I did not have that section, but I did have a duel passage section talking about our founding fathers. I hope that I am correct because I messed this section up.

hmm i didnt have fathers or duck

Keven43 is talking about a different form. Check one of the other threads, mate.

SoF, I had a verbal experimental. This was my exact setup:
Sec 1 - essay
Sec 2 - CR
Sec 3 - math
Sec 4 - CR
Sec 5 - CR
Sec 6 - Math gridin
Sec 7 - Writing 35min
Sec 8 - Last/Shorter CR
NOT EXPERIMENTAL - Congo (guy’s father grew up in Africa)
Sec 9 - Math
Sec 10 - Writing 10min

I don’t really care what the experimental is as long as it is NOT the College girls one, I did the best on that

Do you remember what passage was in Section 4?

Did anyone have a writing question that was about some author.
I think the answer was “as with the case of” or something like that but I’m not too sure.

SoF,

I can’t remember exactly, all I know is that it was back to back reading passages and I was mad.

I think 4 was the founding fathers essay and 5 was the one on space and future.

all right, founding fathers probably was section 4 as im guessing it was your exp section.

im pretty sure now that section 4 for everyone who had this form was the experimental.

the coming weeks will reveal to what degree my hypothesis is true. =)

“What was the answer to the question that had leaches for one of the answers?; something about taking out toxics out of rocks.”

i had this section, the question was something like…
“The acid _____ toxic metals from soil by dissolving it and letting it run into a stream” or something like that… lol that is very loosely paraphrased of course

the three interesting choices were leaches, coagulates, and ejects

i didnt really like any of them, i put leaches first…but since the acid doesn’t really suck the metal out or anything like that i went with ejects…
unfortunately, it was definitely leaches: “To be dissolved or passed out by a percolating liquid,” and not ejects, which is way too powerful of a word

i was thinking of “leeches,” o well

i didnt have founding fathers or the duck/rabbit passages btw, but i did have the lawyer one…
thatd be great if that was the experimental section, i had to rush through the last couple of questions due to time

DoctorRobert,

was it your 4th section? I didnt have a lawyer one…
