MAY 2005 SAT TEST – FORM ONE (verbal experimental)

So… the section with the passage about an Indian kid named Hari who worked with some watchmaker guy was the experimental one, non?

I got a 2100 on the test and expected it to be much higher.

what was your math score?

800 Math
640 Critical Reading
660 Writing

I expected the Math at 800, I expected the writing to be between 750 and 800 and I expected the Critical Reading to be between 700 and 750

what was your essay score/writing mc subscore?

63 MC and 8 Writing

what’s the equivalent of say, an 8, 9, 10, 11 essay respectively?

in other words, if you scored a 63 on mc and an 8 essay brought you up to a 660, and the mc is 2/3 and essay is 1/3, an 8 would have to be like a 720 (although that seems high). did you mean 640 for writing and 660 for reading?

i got a 72 and 9 and i got a 720 … so i guess the essay didnt help me or hurt me right?

Well I know that a girl in my school got a 780 in the writing and only a 9 on the essay, so who knows?

so i was right then, an 8 is equivalent to a 720. That means it follows that 9=740, 10=760, 11=780, 12=800

yup, that makes perfect sense metfan, (80 mc x 2)+74 = 78

no then how do u explain my score of a 720 with a 72 mc and 9 essay

well that would come out in between a 720 and a 730

a 780 with a a 9? that’s pretty generous… that’s like missing 6 pts total… meaning perhaps missing 4 pts total could give us an 800?

I got a 70MC and 8 Essay and got a 670 for Writing Score :frowning: :frowning: :(

ouch. that’s 10 pts lower than what you would have gotten on the march exam.

how were your other scores, tweeek?

780 Math and 620 CR

tweek what math problem did u get wrong… was it the last one with the circle and the square? and the answer was 40 pi

Got the Juan problem wrong…

the Juan problem wasn’t on this form
