MAY 2005 TEST – FORM TWO (math experimental)

This forum is for the discussion of the test with the math experimental. No data as to what questions yet. be the first to post questions regarding this form of the SAT.

discuss away.

Aren’t there only supposed to be 2 writing sections (a long one, and the short one at the end)? I had three…but also had the Juan problem.

I did not have the Juan question, and I had math experimental. Which was experimental though? Probably 2 or 3, since they were back to back. Hopefully 2 was experimental, it was harder heh.

I had the same as Rmac2188.

hey gexxman, i assume we had the same test…

do you remember what you put for the short reading comprehension question (for the domesticated animals passage) that asked what would best be added to the list of things that a cat wouldn’t be found doing?

I definitely had a math experimental (two grid-in sections), but there were no Juans around that I recall.

Mine had passages on the oral traditions of Alaskan natives and a criticism of the critics of television.

Greymatter: I had math sections for sections 2 and 3 too, so you must have had two grid-in sections as well. I think one of the grid-ins has to be the experimental.

yeah sorry JUAN was for the WRITING EXPERIMENTAL.

rmac- i put mouse hunting- D

When do we learn for sure which section was experimental?

I don’t think we ever truly know do we?

anyone else? i put search and rescue, lol

I didn’t have a cats and dogs passage

I remember when I took the old SAT the College Board posted which sections were experimental after the test. I don’t remember when after the test that happened though, and I have to know soon if I’m going to cancel my scores.
Do you think it’s possible that both of the grid-in sections can count? I’m really hoping so :-(.

No, 2 grid ins can’t count, I only had 1 grid in though. I had section 2 and 3 back to back 25 min math mult. choice.

only cancel if you think you bombed all the sections…otherwise keep what you did good on and then focus on the sections you didn’t do good on in JUNE.

what is this ‘juan’ question that everyone keeps talking about? can someone reconstruct it?

Did not a lot of people have this test? I had passages with Alaskan Native telling story, life on other planets, and a story about a lady that married a rich guy. My essay was how does work, volunteer, and schoolwork affect a person’s interaction with others.

I don’t math exp. people had that question, at least I didn’t.

Collegeboard does post the experimental sections for the New SAT too.

devils67, I had the exact same test as you
