May 2010 - U.S. History

That is wrong @thrill3rnit3
Colelgeboard curve raw score = 78 for an 800

thats -9

uh 78 raw is -12? where did you get 9?

how many skipped are you considering?

thats with no skips sire

Yeah the jazz one was just difficult for me I guess, I narrowed it down to the tradition one and the immigrant one, and picked the wrong answer.

-9 none skipped is a 79 (90-9=81-9/4=78.75 rounds up to 79 and that is mostly always an 800 on ush

Can you guys post the link for the Collegeboard raw score conversion chart please.

What was the Lewis & Clark one? I thought it was about the Louisiana Purchase… but is the consensus the Indians answer?

thats a pretty harsh curve for US history.

@candynobad373: Thanks, really appreciate that! From the consolidated list, I missed 13 (omitted none), so would my raw by a 73.75–>~760 right?

90-13=77-(13/4)=73.75—>760. Is my arithmetic wrong here?

dancingmac the answer was that it enhanced later claims to British and Spanish territory.

Ya, the answer was claims w/ British and Spanish Territory.

I have ~7 wrong, could I still get an 800?

if you dont then collegeboard just enjoys ****ing with us haha

Usually yes, but according to the October 2008 test (the same test as this) ~7 wrong would probably be in the lower/mid 700s which is ridiculous.

Thanks candynobad, this is kind of ruining my day lol

I think I’ll take it over in June if I get less than a 750.

gramster, completely agree 750 + or retake.

Wait so that conversion chart that candynobad373 posted is incorrect? If it is, then I am 100% retaking it. If the curve is as bad as Jersey13 says it is, then I am signing up tonight lol.

750 is the minimum that I want.

What would a -7 -8 or -9 get me? I changed my answers for a few of them, so I forgot which I ended up putting. Upper 700s hopefully?

I really don’t think the curve could be that bad… I really think people on the other thread overestimated their score. Plus, every single score has a curve of at least -8 for an 800… even if it’s a harder curve, it wouldn’t be lower than -5. I’m keeping my fingers crossed though… I really wanted 750+ and according our list and sparknotes scores, I would’ve gotten that… ugh.
