i remember -27/4 for a problem, i think it had to do with a sequence

@beachglass yea, I remember getting -27/4. It was a sequence problem.

@heybrosup I am pretty sure it was -27/8 not -27/4.

what did you guys get for the dot in 5 circles one, thought it was a trick or something lmao

@zzzzzz1027 ahh now that i think about it, i think it was 8, the -27 was all i really remembered

I got 4 circles. I don’t think they ever try to trick in the first ~5 questions of a math section.

it was four because there was only one circle that didn’t surround the dot

lol it was in four circles. no trick there

4 circles, -27/8 for me too

i thought “is this serious?” and had to think about it

I got -27/4 for the sequence one… and 4 for the circles… and D (?) for the cube (2 flaps down, one up).

4 circles kids.

so what math content was the circle question covering

your “spatial” reasoning… LOL IDK.

or they want to try to throw you off with an easy question or something.

@ heybrosup

I like to call those types of questions “■■■■■■ checks”

What kind of math was the cube one? and is there a distinct method on how to solve them?

spatial reasoning i guess like picturing 3-D

I’m so bad at that. I tried to picture it in my head , but then I would think about how much time I would be wasting and the image in my head would collapse :(. I wish that type of problem had a specific method to answer it…

@ttt

It’s not that bad, you just have to stare at one cube at a time while focusing and visualizing it, took me like 1 minute to do all of them. Just practice with that, or develop a technique or find a pattern (which is every sat math problem) and you’ll master it for the next SAT, it’s bound to be on at least one question out of the total 44 (excluding grid ins)

I’ve seen people do this, just bob your head in the direction of what should overlap where as you stare at the cube. Never tried it, but i use to see people do that as silly as it sounds.

What about the 1x1in cube one with sides painted?

What was the question that everyone keeps talking about. The one with the 3/10 or 10/3 rainfall, mile, inches?
