May 2013 Biology SAT 2 test

What was the answer to that question about IAA. Which controls were to be observed with IV…?
I marked II and III

I marked I II and III

Same I said II and III, unsure if I should also put down I.
For that same question did you say the axel produced IAA or nucleic acids?

I said it produced root cells

same root cells…was the colony 800,000 or 80,000?

wait i put II and V for that one…
what did you guys put for the carbon question? it said that rocks are rich in carbon so it does not directly affect photosynthesis because…?

umm i cant really remember but i know the question…i think i put something along the lines of either B or C i cant remember what the answer was.

oh yea i put B- carbon is readily available to the biosphere
but the other answer choices were like… it moves slowly through the carbon cycle, rocks weather down easily and releases carbon, etc

oh yeah no i remember i put A actually…moves slowly through the carbon cycle. i dont think it was b because if it was readily available that would explain why it would directly affect photosyn. which is the opposite of what the question is.

i picked the last answer choice for that question… i don’t remember what it said though

oh no wait that might be right…bc photosyn. will just get CO2 from the atmosphere (biosphere) instead of the rocks…****!

what did you guys get for the question for where antibodies are produced?

ohh hmmm idk
for biology e, you know the table where it was like students measure the nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus of each area and the # of organisms/species, the depth of covering, and amount of fungi?
what did you guys put for the one that asks which area would have the most stable soil temperature on a hot day?

i answered wooden area for that

i took M and had that…wasnt that a general quesiton…and i put the depth of the decaying matter which was i think 2.00 cm…cuz it had the most covering…which was the wooden area i believe

the antibodies question is lymphocytes for sure

and is the wooded area the one with the deepest covering? cuz i put the one that had the most coverage

@emwang that wasn’t bio-e it was in the core questions. Most stable temperature is wooded area. Woods would block sunlight keeping cool temps throughout th eday.

antibodies = lymphocytes

carbon cycle + photosynthesis was the rock one, it is in the rocks so it moves slowly

yay @parallelism lol i got that too for all 3

was the one in M about the colonies 80,000 or 800,000?

I put 800,000
