Take as many practice tests as possible.</p>

<p>I would really try and focus on the essay - it’s a fairly easy way to improve your score. When you do practice tests, always make sure you understand why sentences are incorrect. Increasing your vocabulary could also help (I’ve heard Barron’s word list is good). For the CR passages, become familiar with readng strategy (questions or passage first) and the types of questions asked.</p>

<p>Check out the vocabulary list in one of the older threads (I can’t find it). Scareya made a big link that combined all of the vocabulary words found in the blue CB book.</p>

<p>i’m taking the may SAT too and i’m nervous as heck! i’m a wreck, im currently plugging a free SAT test into college board to see what i need to improve on…</p>

<p>my PSAT went like this…</p>

<p>480 CR
500 MATH (Tell me if this is funny, but on all KAPLAN tests and CB tests, I’ve always gotten a 500 dead on…lol…but I want to improve it! I’m better at some strageties though…)
540 WRITING</p>

<p>Any tips? My vocabulary, should I make flashcards?
And for math, there’s so many strageties, sometimes I just don’t know how to attempt the problem.</p>

<p>Critical reading? I think I’m okay, I use grammtrix for it and I get more answers right now.</p>

<p>Grammatix is good for CR.</p>

<p>Math is a section that isn’t too hard to improve on. I’d suggest practicing the problems (buying an SAT math book) and you’ll get the hang of it. If you do many problems, you’ll be fine on the real thing.</p>

<p>Get a ti89 and learn how to use it. There was a program I got off this site it was really helpful. It took me about a week or two to get used to the calculator and learn how to use it for the SATs it helped me with a couple of the hard questions. Its defff worth the money</p>

<p>I’m taking the may test too…practicing as much as I can. I’m aiming for 2300, but who knows…its gonna be hard as hell. But I am 100% sure that this will be the last time I take the SAT…I hate that damn test.</p>

<p>Yeah. It’s going to be my last time taking the SAT test this May. I thought April would be my last time… but I messed up so much and cancelled it :/</p>

Read A LOT is probably the best option here. Are u a junior? if so wait till june or even october if you have to.</p>
