<p>Why is this a surprise? Pure is the top nightclub in LV. It’s quite interesting, they have a good business model. Creating hype to get stupid, rich people to drop thousands of bucks for bottle service and to be seen/impress their friends.</p>

<p>As a footnote to nothing, we are off to LV in a few weeks. We have gotten tickets for the Bette Middler show. WE ARE NOT CLUB PEOPLE. Any other shows you all can recommend?</p>

<p>We saw “Love” when it first opened and everyone in our group liked it. Of course, we are all 50ish and mild-mannered…</p>

<p>There’s a lot of dancing, not so much acrobatic/clown stuff as the typical Cirque show. But the music is piped through headsets in the seats, and sounds wonderful. This is what really intrigued my husband, who is fanatical about crisp sound.</p>

<p>Most of the people dropping all that $$$ at Pure, etc are not rich–they are stupid though.</p>

<p>I made reservations for Love, and UCB has provided some advice (thanks) on things to do outside of the city.</p>

<p>I’ll be in LV myself next weekend for the NASCAR race and some light gambling while looking at foreclosures. Should be fun.</p>

<p>Is there a Guggenheim Museum? Hmm. The only thing I can think of is Madame Tausauds wax museum which is part of the Venetian.</p>

<p>If I can find one on Saturday I’d take it. I have a long list from Countrywide so I plan to just drive around the ones in Henderson/Green Valley area. Some are 30-40% off the last sale price.</p>

<p>While in Green Valley, be sure to check out the District at Green Valley Ranch. It’s a local favorite.
The new Town Square is pretty cool too.</p>

<p>We often stay at GVR. Don’t really like the strip much so we stay in the burbs and love it. Far fewer meatheads and phonies.</p>
