No. Feel the same as the bullfight thread. Can’t imagine enjoying watching two humans beat each other.
The last thing in the world I want to watch is two humans trying to knock each other unconscious. I hope they ban the sport soon.

No. When I was about 10 years old, I watched a fight on tv with my dad, who was a fan of boxing. Emile Griffith beat Benny Paret to a pulp, with dozens of blows in a very short time, and Paret never regained consciousness, dying about a week later. I have hated this ‘sport’ ever since.
I would never watch a boxing match.
We never watch PPV but I hope PacMan knocks him out!
We would but DS17 is in a play tonight and we won’t get home until probably 9:45 pm. While the actual fight most likely won’t have started it… I can’t see paying $99 unless we get to see everything.

As much as I’d love to see an abuser get the crap beat out of him, I can think of better things to do with my money… like give it to an IPV shelter to help survivors.
I watched the one last year, last night. I’m tempted to pay $100 to watch this one(really for my husband) but he said there is a time conflict with the Clippers and Spurs so I’ll probably not watching it.
Have never been a fan of any form of fighting and don’t see how these are “sports.” You couldn’t pay me to watch any fighting. Judo at least has some technique and finesse, but those matches can have injuries as well.

My husband wants to watch this fight (rooting for Pacquiao!) but he’ll be on a flight to the Philippines when the fight is on.
I’ve heard on TV, the Philippines told people to turn off all electric use during this time so people can watch this fight. I’m also rooting for Pacquio. Tickets are all sold out in Las Vegas.
I live in Las Vegas, which has been in the grip of fight fever for weeks now. I’m not a boxing fan, so I have no interest in the fight itself, but fight weekends are always a spectacle.
DS works at a hotel on the Strip. They are expecting a full house all weekend. So are most properties in town.
I only know a few people who are going to the fight in person. Most people I know are staying far away from the Strip all weekend - lol.
I read tonight that the Mayweather camp has banned two legit women sportswriters, Michelle Beadle and Rachel Nichols, from attending and reporting on the fight. Got them banned from the arena. Mayweather is a thug and a despicable human.
I grew up watching the Friday night fights as a kid. When I was in summer camp I was asked to fight my best friend. We fought for two rounds (or he did while I danced and hid), and then I caught him with a left to the head which turned him into a monster. I was glad when that fight was over.
Two weeks later they asked me to fight a new guy who everyone was talking about. I declined and my best friend fought him. The two of them went toe to toe for two rounds until my friend knocked the new guy out. An ambulance came for him and he spent the night in the hospital. I wasn’t surprised to learn later that the new guy became a high school football star and later a college football player. I never knew what became of my best friend.
I would pay to watch it, just for the opportunity to see Pacquiao punch Mayweather’s smug face. But I’m in Frankfurt now, and the fight is early in the morning here when all the bars are closed. Every American hotel we’ve called (hilton, sheraton, marriott) has met w the same response-- the staff have no awareness of sporting events other than soccer. It’s like being in a black hole.
