Does the Intro MBB course have a book?
I am registered for the course and there isn’t a book listed yet.

While I don’t know the exact answer to this question, 4 of my 6 classes still have the book as tbd. Many profs only post books the week before class starts.

Please correct if I’m wrong. Was there not a law passed last year that colleges have to post the required books at a certain number of days before class starts to allow students to have a fair chance to order books at a location they want to? Failure to do so subjects them to some penalties.

FL - I think you’re a bit confused on the purpose of that law.

From a brief internet search, the wording is:
“on the institution’s Internet course schedule and in a manner of the institution’s choosing, the International Standard Book Number and retail price information of required and recommended college textbooks and supplemental materials for each course listed in the institution’s course schedule …”

In other words, once the school knows the book, they have to provide the information necessary to acquire said book in any manner. They cannot hide the isbn/edition/year/etc from students (apparently it was a big issue at other schools).

As far as I’m aware, the law doesn’t say anything about when the professor must declare a course book.
