I was just notified that the “Educational Testing Service” was unable to locate my multiple choice answer sheets from the AP World History Exam that I took. They seemed to imply that they still have my essays though. This happened to 40 out of the 49 kids at my school who took the AP World History Exam. Has this happened to anyone before, if so, what will happen to resolve this situation?

In situations I’ve heard, you can either do a retake during the summer or early fall, I believe, or you can have them give you a 3. Especially in your case, where 40/49 students at your school lost their MC answer sheets, ETS will most definitely offer a retake. Good luck, and I’m sorry such unlucky thing happened to you.

Wow, that really sucks Hopefully they’ll let you have a retake or grade you on essays only.

I’ve heard about these situations from my AP Coordinator. You are usually offered 3 options:

Cancel and get a refund.

Have your exam score extrapolated from the section that they do have.

Retake (I believe at your convenience)

Absurd and arbitrary.
This. You will receive a projected AP score based on your essay scores; CB will assume that you perform equally well on both sections and double your raw FRQ score to obtain your final score. Based on this projected score, you can take the score if it is acceptable to you, or you may retake the MC if you feel you could do better.

My friend slipped them a benjamin (Physics C E&M), and ended up with a 2… He thought he had atleast a 3, maybe even a 4… so I think these teachers have no sense of humor.
